We are officially recognised by the Director of Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) for our expertise in delivering the SITHFAB021 Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course. Our training program is fully compliant with the specific requirements and regulations set forth by Liquor Control Victoria, as detailed on the LCV website.
The SITHFAB021 Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell, serve, or supply alcohol. In Melbourne and throughout Victoria, it is a legal requirement for employees at licensed venues to hold both the SITHFAB021 RSA certification and a Liquor Control Victoria RSA certificate. This includes a variety of roles within the hospitality industry, such as waitstaff, bartenders, bottle shop attendants, and more.
This comprehensive six-hour course not only meets the obligations set forth by state and territory liquor laws for those involved in alcohol service, but it also qualifies as accredited learning for further vocational education. Upon enrollment, participants will receive access to the online platform to commence the course. A qualified trainer will assist you for any questions you might have while studying.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate, along with the Liquor Control Victoria certificate, enabling them to legally work in licensed venues across Victoria.
There are no prerequisites for this course, and it is open to individuals of vocational age. The course fee covers all materials, assessments, and digital certificates, with an additional charge for paper-based certificates. Participants are required to present valid identification (e.g., a passport or driver’s license) and USI at the time of enrolment.
Important Information
From 1st December 2025 LCV has added a new training module, Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond (SHARPR), and the changes to the RSA Certificate Database.
The new module will be added to the RSA training requirements on 1 December and will support learners to better understand and respond to sexual harassment and assault when it occurs in licensed venues and stores.
After the learner completes the online or face-to-face RSA training, the training provider will upload the learner’s details, including their email address, into the RSA Certificate Database.
Once uploaded, the learner will receive an email directing them to the hub to complete the SHARPR training module. The college can provide additional training to complete this module at an additional charge of $100.
Onsite course delivery is also available for schools and workplaces.
